The Brief

In the UX Design course, our mentors asked us to research one of the most preferred real estate, shopping or video streaming apps, improve their experience by studying users' behavior, and create a new design wireframe. The Process

DEFINING PROBLEM


People expect an experience where they can access all kinds of information in a short time without any question marks, make comparisons and, perhaps most importantly, trust the listing and the owner.


PROJECT OBJECTIVE


To improve the user experience of Emlakjet application;

  • To understand the experiences of adults in searching, renting and buying houses in real estate applications,

  • Getting to know the audience using Emlakjet, discovering the motivations and challenges of users,

  • Identifying and analyzing users' needs, expectations and pain points; providing recommendations that can improve their home search, rental and purchase experiences.

The Results

ANALYSIS AND SUGGESTION


To improve the user experience of Emlakjet application;

It was found that users had difficulty signing up and logging in to the app, which negatively affected the user experience. Alternative sign-up options linked to phone numbers and social media accounts can be used to make it easier for users to sign up and log in.

Users find the filtering options inadequate, which causes users to be unable to find the results they want in the app. Options such as short-term, long-term, furnished, unfurnished can be added to the filtering options.

Users have serious trust problems with advertisers. In order for users to both trust the ads and increase their loyalty to the application, an approved account requirement can be imposed on the ad owners.

Users want to communicate with advertisers immediately, but the app does not offer this opportunity. Whatsapp communication options can be added so that users can contact the advertisers immediately.

In house for sale ads, users complain that the information given in the ad does not match the actual houses. In order for users to access real information about the houses for sale, a floor plan feature can be introduced.
